Re: Ornamentation within Traditional irish music. First I have to say I’m coming from the perspective of someone who plays uilleann pipes, flute, and whistle. As I’ve posted before, I consider cuts and pats (and the short rolls and long rolls created from them) to be articulations, not ornamentations.
